I offer a limited number of commissioned artworks created in my abstract realism style. Working with various mediums including charcoal, coloured pencil, acrylic, watercolour, and oil, each commission combines detailed realism with expressive abstraction, often reflecting the balance between darkness and hope that runs through my work.

Every commissioned piece is created as a unique artwork. I work closely with clients to understand the subject, mood, and overall vision while allowing space for the creative process to unfold naturally. This approach ensures that each piece remains authentic to my style while also holding personal meaning for the collector.

Commissions may include portraits, meaningful subjects, or concept-based pieces inspired by a particular theme or idea. Throughout the process, I focus on creating layered compositions that balance structure, texture, and movement.

Due to the time and care involved in each piece, commission spaces are limited.

Commission Process

1. Initial Enquiry

Begin by contacting me with a brief description of your idea, preferred size, and any reference images if applicable. You are also welcome to share the mood, theme, or story you would like the artwork to reflect.

2. Consultation

We will discuss the concept, materials, size, and overall vision for the piece. This ensures the final artwork aligns with both your expectations and my artistic style. To avoid disappointment with the final piece, it is best not to be too specific with your request so it allows me some creative freedom to create the best piece I can.

If your commission is based on a specific subject or portrait, clear reference images will help me create the best possible artwork.

Helpful tips for reference photos:

Good lighting – Natural light works best and helps show accurate colours and details.
Clear focus – The subject should be sharp and not blurry.
High resolution – Larger images allow more detail to be captured in the artwork.
Multiple photos if possible – Different angles or lighting can help provide more visual information.
Natural expressions or poses – Relaxed and natural images often translate best into artwork.

If you are unsure which photos to send, feel free to include several options and I will help you choose the most suitable reference.

3. Booking Your Commission

Once the details are confirmed, a 50% deposit is required to secure your commission slot. As each piece is created by hand, and requires significant time and care, commission spaces are limited.

4. Creation Process

Your artwork will be created using mixed media techniques in my abstract realism style. During this stage I may share occasional progress updates so you can see the piece evolving.

5. Completion and Delivery

When the artwork is finished, I will share the final images with you. Once the remaining balance is received, the artwork will be carefully packaged and shipped or arranged for collection.

A 50% deposit is taken up front and the remaining 50% is paid on completion of the piece prior to shipping. The deposit is non-refundable, but can be transferred to an original or print from my collection.
