My work explores the tension between darkness and hope through abstract realism. I am drawn to the quiet spaces where shadow and light meet: moments where complexity, vulnerability, and resilience coexist. Through my work, I aim to capture this balance, allowing darkness to hold depth and emotion while still leaving room for light, movement, and possibility to emerge.

I specialise in mixed media, working with materials including oils, acrylic, collage, watercolour, coloured pencil, charcoal, and pastels. Each medium brings its own character to the process, allowing me to build layered surfaces that hold both structure and spontaneity. Realistic elements provide points of recognition, while abstract passages introduce gesture, texture, and emotional atmosphere.

Through layering, mark-making, and the interaction of different materials, my compositions evolve organically. Areas of detail and clarity sit alongside expressive marks and fragmented forms, reflecting the way experiences and emotions often exist in contrast: darkness alongside hope, uncertainty beside resilience.

Ultimately, my work seeks to create space for reflection. Within the layered surfaces and shifting forms, I invite viewers to pause, explore, and discover their own sense of meaning.
